The Parks and Recreation department is headed by Robert Merusi and claims to have some 311 formal programs, used by 20,000 people, and holds 14,000 events in public parks and town-owned facilities.

The costs for the department in 2005 was $1.657 million or about $25 per capita.

Many activities are funded thru fees. Examples of this are:

Four day soccer clinic $ 85
Six weeks of tennis lessons $ 72
Five week yoga course $ 25
