Democracy is not a spectator sport

Why vote?  Because you do count.  Look at what happened in the 2000 presidential elections in Florida.  Individual votes became real important.  Your vote is important. In our last (April 2003) Selectman's race, Cesar Monzon lost by a mere 16 votes. One of those votes could have been yours. In our last Proposition 2 1/2 override vote, the town of Framingham was split 51% to 49% for the override (a $5000 loss for me over my lifetime).  At least, I voted against it.  Want to be indifferent? Consider this statement... ... indifference is a militant thing ... when it goes away it leaves smoking ruins, where lie citizens bayonetted through the throat.
