Hemenway Elementary was built in 1961 and underwent significant renovations and additions in 2004. Feasibility Study Hemenway In accordance with Chapter 7, Sections 38A½ -O of the Massachusetts General Laws, The City of Framingham seeks qualified bidders to provide pre-feasibility assessment services in connection with the Hemenway School , currently located at 729 Water Street. The selected consultant will assist the City in assessing the condition of the existing facility, identifying future programmatic requirements, and evaluating alternative options for the renovation and upgrade of the existing facility or the construction of a new facility on an alternative site This request seems to imply that building a new school at a different site is a possibility. Why would the Framingham school committee even consider this?
