The Framingham town government has been growing very rapidly in the past six years effectively circumventing Proposition 2 1/2 thru the abundance of state aid to municipalities.  Shouldn't government grow in proportion to the population?  Each year in the past 20 years, we have gained about 200 residents. We currently stand around 67,300 residents. In the past 6 years, the cost of local town government has jumped by fifty percent (50%).  This has occurred because we have allowed an assortment of tax and spend liberals to become our Selectmen.  They have used the state aid to municipalities to grow the government and given town employees very significant pay raises over the last six years.  This year for example, the division heads got a nice 5.3% pay raise.

Our current goals are to replace these tax and spend liberals with residents who believe that government and taxes should be limitted in our lives.  We also would like to implement various cost-cutting ideas to effectively downsize the town government.
