Throw the bums out January 24, 2012
Harold J. Wolfe Metrowest Daily News
On December 20, 2011, Jason Smith, chairman of Framingham's Board of Selectman called Framingham's proposed property tax increase for residents astronomical and then quickly voted for it. This tax increase included a 2 1/2 percent increase, a lower commercial assessment, and a shift in the commercial rate that increased the residential rate. Then, on January 10, 2012, Jason Smith refused a request to place an underride vote on the April ballot on behalf of the taxpayers as is permitted by the Board of Selectman under MGL-59-21C.

It should be clear to all except those union liberals who have their eyes wide shut that Jason Smith is working for the unions and not the taxpayers. Jason Smith's vote on the tax increase will benefit the few (union members) and hurt the many (taxpayers).

He shows us that he is still addicted to the aphrodisiac of power, has no empathy, and clearly does not understand that the power to tax is the power to destroy.

Let us, the many, taxpayers put the hurt on Jason Smith by voting the bum out. Just write in Donald Duck or Bobo The Monkey if you have to. Or you could write me in, Harold J. Wolfe. I would push for an underride vote from the Board of Selectman each and every meeting until Hell freezes over, and subsequently fight them on the resulting ice fields.

Next year, we have two more bums to throw out, A. Ginger Esty and Charlie Sisitsky.
