Aiding and abetting crime Sunday, July 16, 2006
Harold J. Wolfe, Framingham Metrowest Daily News
An examination of the Framingham police Web page (see Departments) shows that the police chief has a "chief's aide," and "assistant to the chief" and three "deputy chiefs" and 21 departments or sections and a total staff of about 155.  One has to wonder how many captains, lieutenants and sergeants lie underneath this top-heavy structure.  Despite this, our police chief was recently trolling Town Meeting members for more funding.

Given all this preponderance of "police power," one might think that a preponderance of illegals in Framingham would not be an issue.  Regretably, even when someone is arrested for driving without a license (the most frequently occuring crime for those arrested), immigration status is never brought up under Framingham's police policy of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell."

When arrested for driving without a license, there is no law or court ruling that prevents the Framingham police from arresting illegals for violating federal immigration laws and photographing/fingerprinting them, and shipping them to the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office in downtown Boston.  If the Framingham police did this, it could be said that they are at least doing their job of law enforcement.

Thanks to the Framingham Board of Selectmen's Welcoming Proclamation welcoming illegals, the police chief does not lift a finger and is actually aiding and abetting illegals in violation of U.S. Code, Title 8, Section 1324.  Thus, the taxpayers can only expect more taxes to pay for these intruders.  Say no! to all overrides.
