Re-elect Deborah Blumer as your state representative for Framingham. She has compassion.
She recently voted to increase the state income tax from 5.3 percent to 5.95 percent, and to increase the state (restaurant) meal tax from 5 percent to 8 percent.
Feeling shackled by Proposition 2 1/2, she has steadfastly tried to kill the citizen's initiative to control property tax increases every which way she could.
She is another financially impaired individual who clearly believes that we can be taxed into prosperity.
She voted to provide resident immigrants and illegal aliens in-state tuition rates in Massachusetts colleges while U.S. citizens in New Hampshire have to pay out-of-state tution rates which are usually two or three times as high. In her compassion, she forgets illegal aliens are residents of another country.
She clearly supported giving illegal aliens driver licenses so that these licenses can be used to obtain or access other services.
She worked tirelessly along side former SMOC long range planner erard Desilets and Framingham Selectman Charlie Sisitsky to make sure that the term "law abiding" was nowhere to be found in the statement "We welcome all individuals to Framingham" in that worthless proclamation recently signed by the Framingham Board of Selectman with the exception of Ginger Esty.
She clearly has a far greater sense of compassion for immigrants and illegal aliens than she does for residents of Massachusetts or U.S. citizens. Under the Plyler vs. Doe Supreme Court ruling, Framingham taxpayers will be paying dearly to educate citizens of other countries.
If you want a larger crowd of illegal aliens in Framingham, more bilingual students, higher school costs, higher state income taxes, higher state sales taxes, higher property taxes, etc....
