65 Delmar Avenue Framingham, MA 01701 February 8, 2019 508-561-8452 hjwolfe@gmail.com City of Framingham Framingham School Committee 73 Mt. Wayte Ave., Suite 5 Framingham, MA 01702 508-626-9121 Dearest School Committee, This is a request under the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10). While this request is mostly about Farley, it also brings in other buildings and real estate bought and paid for by the taxpayers of Framingham and other issues. 1. It seems that very few residents in Framingham knew that we actually owned Farley middle school, which as been occupied by Mass Bay Community College for some 25 years. It seems that Farley was deliberately kept out of the discussion by Robert Tremblay and the school committee with all due deliberation to get the override. Bringing it into the discussion might very well have altered the course of the vote. During the debate on the Fuller override, was any public statement made about Farley as an alternative to the new Fuller? A cursory check of the Metrowest Daily News shows a reference to it way back in 2016. 2. It seems very wrong and unethical to build a school for Framingham at public expense and subsequently rent it out to state agencies on any short or long term lease. When will Farley be a Framingham school again, if ever? 3. Is there a hard and definitive schedule for Mass Bay to move out of Farley? 4. Can I please get a complete list of revenues derived from renting out Farley to Mass Bay for each and every year? 5. Were these rental payments earmarked for any specific purposes? If so, what was the purpose and how much of those funds were spent for such a purpose? And where are the remaining funds? 6. Can I get a comprehensive list of expenses made by the city/town of Framingham for the maintenance of Farley since it was leased? 7. Can I get a list of other buildings bought and paid for by the taxpayers of Framingham and currently being rented out to any agency or corporation in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or anywhere else? 8. Framingham is 65% white and 7% black (people of color). Can you please explain to me why Framingham High School has a Black Student Union, but not a White Student Union? Is there any specific document or policy paper discouraging a White Student Union? Isn't that a very racist policy? 9. When those stupid notes were found at Hemenway, who specifically on the school committee or any other component of our city government decided that it would be a good idea to bring in the village idiots, known to you as our Interfaith clergy. http://the-militant-atheist.org/the-village-idiots.html Were the village idiots paid for this appearance with our school superindentent, Robert Tremblay? As you all may know, these imaginary gods do not make currency like our Treasury Department. From: gepstein@framingham.k12.ma.us Date: February 8, 2019 Hi Harold, The official machinery will grind into action and respond to your public records request, but in the meantime, here are some comments. Rest assured Farley was in the mix in discussions about Fuller and nothing was hidden. The debt exclusion was not some hoodwinking job re Farley. It was a very thorough discussion engaging the community in multiple meetings. I attended two such meetings and took two walking tours. The discussions were mostly by the architectural firm. Farley was NEVER mentioned. I discovered Farley on the city web site. Apparently only the school committee knew that Farley belonged to Framingham. You had leased the school for so long (23+ years) that almost everybody but the school committee thought it belonged to Mass Bay. Show me a page on the your school site that lists Farley as belonging to Framingham as a school. Show me articles on MWDN or FraminghamSource in the press showing that Farley was a Framingham school. It was a well kept secret, nes't pas? Worst yet, Mass Bay was being made as a school for idiots |
